Clic is looking for an Interior Designer with 2–4 years of professional experience who is ready to expand their skills, take on greater responsibility, and contribute meaningfully throughout the design and delivery process.

This position offers hands-on involvement in a variety of commercial interior projects, including workplace, corporate, legal, nonprofit, community, and other project types. You will work directly with Clic’s founders and experienced designers, gaining exposure to programming, space planning, concept development, finish and furniture selection, client presentations, construction documentation, and construction administration.

The Interior Designer will contribute to the development and execution of design solutions while building a stronger understanding of how projects move from initial concept through construction. This person should be comfortable working within established project direction, taking ownership of assigned responsibilities, communicating questions or concerns early, and following their work through completion.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design from a CIDA-accredited program

• 2–4 years of professional interior design experience, preferably with commercial interiors

• Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with Enscape

• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and Photoshop

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

• Experience supporting programming, space planning, design development, and construction documentation

• Developing knowledge of interior materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment

• Foundational understanding of accessibility requirements, building codes, construction systems, and industry standards

• Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, project programs, and other design information

• Strong graphic, written, and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines with guidance from project leadership

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work

• Willingness to ask questions, accept feedback, and continue learning

• Collaborative, proactive, and dependable approach

• Growth-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset

• NCIDQ certification or active pursuit of certification is encouraged but not required

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Support the development of interior design solutions that respond to client goals, program requirements, budget, schedule, and design intent

• Contribute to programming, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration

• Develop presentation materials, finish palettes, furniture concepts, diagrams, renderings, and other visual communication tools

• Build and maintain accurate Revit models under the direction of project leadership

• Assist with producing coordinated construction documents suitable for permitting, pricing, and construction

• Research, evaluate, and document interior materials, finishes, fixtures, and furniture

• Assist with finish plans, schedules, specifications, and furniture documentation

• Participate in client meetings, consultant coordination meetings, site visits, and internal design reviews

• Coordinate assigned work with architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and other project partners

• Review product information, shop drawings, and submittals with guidance from project leadership

• Assist with construction administration, including site observations, punch walks, and documenting project questions

• Participate in studio design critiques, pin-ups, and internal quality-control reviews

• Organize project information and communicate progress, questions, and potential issues proactively

• Balance responsibilities across multiple projects while meeting established deadlines

• Contribute to proposals, interviews, project photography, award submissions, and other studio initiatives as opportunities arise

• Support the continued development of Clic’s design resources, BIM standards, templates, and best practices

COMPENSATION

The anticipated salary range for this position is $62,000–$74,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on the selected candidate’s experience, qualifications, technical abilities, and alignment with the responsibilities of the position.
