Interior Designer II
Clic is looking for an Interior Designer II with 4–7 years of professional experience who is ready to take meaningful ownership of projects and contribute throughout the full design and delivery process.
This position offers significant involvement in a variety of commercial interior projects, including workplace, corporate, legal, nonprofit, community, and other project types. The designer will work directly with Clic’s founders while taking increasing responsibility for design development, documentation, project coordination, client communication, and construction administration.
The Interior Designer II is a key contributor to the success of the studio. This person should be comfortable developing design ideas, translating them into accurate and coordinated construction documents, communicating with clients and consultants, and supporting projects through construction. Depending on project size and complexity, this designer may lead defined portions of larger projects or smaller projects with guidance from project leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from a CIDA-accredited program
4–7 years of professional interior design experience, with substantial experience in commercial interiors
Strong proficiency in Revit and Enscape
Working knowledge of SketchUp and AutoCAD
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and Photoshop
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Experience contributing to all phases of interior design, from programming through construction administration
Strong knowledge of interior materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment
Working knowledge of accessibility requirements, applicable building codes, construction systems, means and methods, and industry standards
Understanding of construction-document production and the relationship between drawings, specifications, schedules, and consultant information
Ability to translate design concepts and abstract ideas into clear visual, verbal, and written communication
Demonstrated ability to execute work accurately and follow assignments through completion
Proven experience balancing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines
Ability to communicate directly and professionally with clients
Experience coordinating with architects, engineers, specialty consultants, contractors, vendors, and owner representatives
Ability to guide and provide constructive feedback to less-experienced designers
Collaborative, accountable, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach

NCIDQ certification is preferred; candidates actively pursuing certification will also be considered
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Collaborate with project leadership and the design team to develop interior design solutions that align with client goals, program requirements, budget, schedule, and design intent
Lead defined portions of projects through programming, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration
Take increasing ownership of smaller projects based on project size, complexity, and experience
Develop and present design concepts, finish palettes, furniture solutions, diagrams, renderings, and presentation materials
Evaluate, select, document, and specify interior materials, finishes, fixtures, furniture, and equipment
Develop and manage coordinated Revit models and produce high-quality renderings and visualizations
Lead or substantially contribute to the production of construction documents suitable for permitting, pricing, and construction
Coordinate interior design documents with architectural, engineering, and specialty-consultant information
Review drawings and deliverables for accuracy, completeness, coordination, and consistency with the design intent
Participate actively in client meetings and lead portions of presentations and working sessions
Communicate directly with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and owner representatives
Track assigned project responsibilities and proactively communicate schedule, coordination, budget, or quality concerns
Support project management efforts, including work planning, scope coordination, schedules, and deliverable tracking
Participate in construction administration, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals and shop drawings, attending site meetings, conducting observations, and completing punch walks
Participate in value-engineering discussions and help identify solutions that protect the project’s design priorities
Provide day-to-day guidance and mentorship to less-experienced designers working on project teams
Participate actively in studio design critiques, pin-ups, and internal quality-control reviews
Help strengthen Clic’s design resources, technical standards, BIM practices, templates, and internal processes
Contribute to proposals, interviews, project photography, award submissions, and other marketing or business-development efforts
Build positive client relationships and represent Clic professionally throughout each project
Demonstrate accountability, initiative, flexibility, and commitment to the success of the studio

COMPENSATION
The anticipated salary range for this position is $75,000–$85,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on the selected candidate’s experience, qualifications, technical abilities, and alignment with the responsibilities of the position.
